Gallery Mission Statement:
The Mission of the Alex Dufresne Gallery, part of the Callander Bay Heritage Museum, is to promote awareness and appreciation of the visual arts through the operation, development, and growth of this public, not-for-profit art gallery.
Gallery Mandate:
The Alex Dufresne Gallery is a public, not-for-profit art gallery that is generously supported by the Municipality of Callander, patrons, and artists alike. Through the efforts of its volunteers and staff, the Alex Dufresne Gallery will achieve its mission by exhibiting and encouraging the development of artists and their works, with a special emphasis on exhibiting area artists and by organizing educational programs to stimulate knowledge and interest in the visual arts. The Gallery will carry out its mandate in accordance with professional museum standards and practices.
Admission:
The Alex Dufresne Gallery is by donation only.
Hours of Operation:
Spring/Summer (May to August): Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 5:00pm.
Fall/Winter (September to April): Thursday to Saturday from 10:00 to 5:00pm.
