The Municipality is pleased to offer two opportunities for Spring cleanup.
1) CURBSIDE PICKUP
On your regular residential pickup date of Tuesday, May 2nd or Friday May 5th, 2023, there will be a curbside pickup. Below is a list of acceptable and unacceptable items for curbside pickup:

2) DROP OFF - ONE DAY ONLY
On Saturday, May 6th, Callander residents may drop off waste at the Operations Yard at 100 Nipissing Street from 7 AM to 1 PM. Accepted items include metals, mixed waste, mattresses, tires, batteries and electronics.
Metal: One open-top container will be provided for mixed metals. We will NOT accept appliances such as fridges, dehumidifiers, water coolers, air conditioners, etc. These items can be brought to the Merrick Landfill – Fees applicable – Fridges and Freezers must be tagged Freon Free.
Mixed Waste: Three open-top containers will be provided for mixed waste, such as shower stalls, toilets, sinks, wood, non-commercial construction/renovation debris, large carpets, and heavy yard waste.
Mattresses: One open-top container will be provided for mattresses.
Tires: One open-top container will be provided for passenger and light truck tires.
Batteries and Electronics: The Operations site has a permanent collection bin available for drop off from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Excluding Holidays.
NO HAZARDOUS WASTE – BRING TO 112 PATTON ST. NORTH BAY – FREE OF CHARGE
NO SHINGLES, CONCRETE, STONES OR GRAVEL WILL BE PERMITTED – THESE ITEMS MUST GO TO THE MERRICK LANDFILL – SOME FEES MAY APPLY
ONLY RESIDENTS OF CALLANDER ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN SPRING CLEANUP.
NO COMMERCIAL GARBAGE ACCEPTED.
