The Corporation of the Municipality of Callander is committed and guided by the four core principles of equal opportunity, dignity, integration, and independence for persons with disabilities and supports the inclusion of persons as set out in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005. The Municipality of Callander shall use every effort to ensure that we meet the needs of people with disabilities, in a timely manner, through the implementation of this policy.

The Municipality has adopted the following policies regarding accessibility.

Feedback Process

Feedback from the public is welcomed as it may identify areas that require change and encourage continuous service improvement.  The public can provide feedback to the Municipality on the delivery of goods and services to persons with disabilities:

If you would like a response to your feedback, please ensure that you include your name, your preferred contact method, and contact information, such as mailing address, daytime telephone number, and or email address. The Municipality will strive to provide acknowledgment of feedback within 5 business days of its receipt. 

 

To request accessible formats and communications support with respect to the feedback process, or with respect to other communications with the Municipality, please contact the Municipal Clerk by any of the above methods. The Municipal Clerk, or designate, shall consult with the person making the request in determining the suitability of an accessible format or communication support.
