We are pleased to introduce new memorial bench sponsorship opportunities along the Cranberry Trail, offering residents and visitors a peaceful place to rest, reflect, and enjoy one of Callander's most scenic natural spaces.
A memorial bench creates a lasting tribute that will be enjoyed by generations while enhancing the beauty and accessibility of our parks, trails, and public spaces.
The Cranberry Trail is a favourite destination for walkers, runners, cyclists, and nature enthusiasts. New memorial bench locations are now available throughout the trail, providing opportunities to create a lasting legacy in a serene natural setting.

Centennial Park

Municipal Dock
The Municipal Dock is a popular destination where residents and visitors gather to enjoy the waterfront, boating activities, and picturesque views. Please note, all benches on the Municipal Dock are now filled.

Bench sponsorships are administered in accordance with the Municipality's Memorial Bench Program Policy.
Who can sponsor a memorial bench?
Anyone may sponsor a memorial bench, whether commemorating a loved one, honouring a special event, recognizing a community contribution, or celebrating a meaningful milestone.
Can I choose the location?
Applicants may indicate their preferred bench location. Locations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
What can be written on the plaque?
Plaque wording is slected by the sponsor and reviewed by Municipal staff to ensure it aligns with program guidelines.
Who maintains the bench?
The Municipality is responsible for ongoing maintenance of benches installed through the program.
