An Official Plan is the Municipality's long-term vision for growth and development. It guides decisions about:

• Economic development
• Land use planning
• Environmental protection
• Transportation and infrastructure
• Community services and facilities

The Official Plan helps shape how Callander will grow and evolve over the coming decades.

The current Official Plan must be updated to:

• Reflect changes in provincial planning policies and legislation
• Address current community needs and priorities
• Plan for future growth
• Ensure the Municipality remains sustainable, livable, and economically resilient

Community input helps ensure the Official Plan reflects the values and priorities of residents.
