NOTICE - Discoloured Water

The Municipality continues to experience higher levels of manganese in the distribution system, which is causing discolouration of water. Although raw water manganese levels are down from the last few weeks, the manganese levels in the distribution system are higher, and based on information from our contractors who operate the water system (OCWA), it will take a little bit of  time to subside.  The water is safe and within acceptable limits for consumption.

We remind our residents that concerns addressed on social media are not tracked or followed up on.  A phone call into the municipality at 705-752-1410 or email at info@callander.ca is needed in order to be properly dealt with.
