Notice of Passing of By-law No. 2024-1948

Pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990
Being a By-Law for a Zoning By-law Amendment with respect to lands located Municipally Wide in the Municipality of Callander, District of Parry Sound
Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Callander passed By-law No. 2024-1947 on the 14th day of May 2024 to approve a Zoning By-law Amendment.
And Take Notice that any person or agency may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal in respect of the Official Plan Amendment by filing with the Clerk of the Municipality no later than 4:30 p.m. on June 4th, 2024, a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the by-law and the reasons in support of the objection. The filing fee of $400.00 must accompany the objection by cheque payable to the Ontario Minister of Finance.
And Take Notice that only individuals, corporations, or public bodies may appeal a decision of the Municipality to the Ontario Land Tribunal. A notice of appeal may not be made by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be made in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf.
SUBJECT PROPERTY: The subject property is located Municipally Wide in the Municipality of Callander.
PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE AMENDMENT:
The purpose of this amendment is to amend the minimum frontage in the “Rural (RU)” Zone from 100.0 metres to 60.0 metres, which is consistent with the neighbouring municipalities. The interior side yard setback shall also be amended to be reduced from 15 metres to 8 metres.
The complete By-law is available for inspection in the Municipal Office located at 280 Main St. daily between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
