They serve as trusted advisors to Council, ensuring meetings and decision‑making processes are conducted in accordance with legislation and best practices. Clerks are responsible for maintaining official records, supporting elections, administering by‑laws, and ensuring the public has access to accurate and reliable information.

Much of this important work takes place behind the scenes, but its impact is felt throughout the organization and the community. The professionalism, integrity, and dedication of Clerks help ensure transparency, accountability, and public confidence in municipal government.
