Flooding Update - Lakewater Levels

Posted April 21, 2026

The Municipality continues to actively monitor lake water levels.
Lake levels remain below the damage threshold as of this morning, though they do appear to be rising slowly and are approaching the point where shoreline impacts may begin.
Current forecasts show that water levels are levelling off, with expectations that they will peak and begin to decline over the next few days. We are also not anticipating any additional rainfall this week, which should help improve conditions.

Sand and Sandbags Available:
Residents who wish to take precautionary measures may access sand and sandbags at the following locations:
- Operations Yard – Nipissing
- South Shore Community Centre – Hwy 654

Municipal staff will continue to monitor conditions closely and will provide updates as required. Residents are encouraged to stay aware of local shoreline conditions and take appropriate precautions.
