Municipality of Callander seeks Developers to Create the New “Waterfront Place” on the Shores of Callander Bay
Callander, Ontario - The Municipality of Callander is inviting Developers to submit a Letter of Interest for the development of “Waterfront Place”, a large, municipally owned waterfront property in the downtown core of Callander. The land has been slated to host a beautifully designed Community Hub, which is anchored by our multifunctional municipal library.
With the right partnership and guidance, the Municipality’s goal is to transform an undeveloped parcel of land into a destination not only for our residents and youth, but to encourage day trips from our neighbouring communities to come and enjoy our Waterfront Place. The Area will be energized by active green spaces and recreation opportunities, where people can gather, live, shop and eat, and enjoy the natural beauty of Callander, while watching our beautiful sunsets over Callander Bay.
“We are at the beginning of an exciting time in Callander,” said Mayor Robb Noon, “and we are so excited to advance this project on the shores of Callander Bay. We are hopeful that we’ll have the right people at the table to start planning and establishing the next steps to bring this potential development to fruition. We look forward to the feedback from developers.”
Located on Lansdowne Street West along the shore of Callander Bay on Lake Nipissing, “Waterfront Place” will focus on creating a vibrant area that includes social gathering opportunities and aged-focused programming, to ensure there is something for everyone.
Interested developers can obtain a Developer’s Package by contacting Ashley Bilodeau, Senior Municipal Director, at email@example.com.
Developer’s must submit a Letter of Interest by June 30, 2022, by 2:00 PM.
