Our Operations Crew is at it again, beautifying and improving our municipality, and bringing awareness to our already in-place services. We are so proud of the progress being made towards our bigger vision for the Municipality this summer. We anticipate seeing further improvements over the next few years and are grateful for the staff’s hard work.
We also want to thank your volunteer firefighters, who have had a few busy weeks. We are so fortunate that we have a strong volunteer base to pull from and assist our residents during emergency situations. As a reminder, and although not mandatory, please pull over for our volunteers if you see the green light flashing.
As a reminder, while we love to see the sun and warmer weather, we want to remind our residents that while out walking your pets, be aware of the temperature of the pavement, and please don’t leave them unattended in vehicles.
We continue to request that patrons, instead of coming into the office, try to use alternative methods for municipal services as much as possible, to reduce the community exposure and non-essential visits. Some examples are provided by visiting the following link: https://www.mycallander.ca/en/news-alerts/show/municipal-services-update-following-stay-at-home-order- Please also note that the municipal office will be closed at 1:00 p.m. on Fridays for the duration of summer to acknowledge staff’s hard work and dedication throughout this Pandemic.
As always, and I cannot stress this enough, continue to support our local businesses where you can and please continue to follow all safety protocols, as recommended. Stay safe.
