Come celebrate with Callander on June 25, for this year's annual Funfest and firework celebrations!

Join us from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Callander Community Centre for; a pancake breakfest with the Callander firefighters; pie making contest; and food bank donation drop off!

Pancakes for kids under 10 are $5, for adults, and children over ten, $10.

At 11:00 a.m. Join us for the Funfest parade, which begins at Sunbeam Bungalows and ends at Centennial Park.

Following the parade, the Funfest Opening ceremonies will begin, at Centennial Park, and will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Food and Artisan vendors will be present from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please expect that most vendors will only be accepting payments in cash.

Entertainment will be held at Centennial park following the opening ceremonies, and will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Fireworks wil be held at dusk, weather permiting. In the event of foul weather, an alternate date will be arranged.

Please have participating children arrive at Sunbeam Bungalows between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Children of all ages may participate: Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Community Parade!

This years parade theme is super heroes and heroines, comic or real life. The Callander Parade Committee’s first priority is to ensure the safety of all parade
participants.

• Each towed parade entry is required to have two safety people walking with them; one safety person on either side of the entry, throughout the duration of the parade.
• Parade participants are not allowed to throw candy along the parade route.
• Children on floats must be supervised by an adult.
• Parade participants on motorized vehicles must abide by regulations under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. For reference, see: http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/driver/pdfs/smart-ride-safe-ride-ATV.pdf
• No smoking while on a float or walking with a float.
• Parade Committee members will accompany their respective parade sections along the parade route.
• Parade participants are not permitted to mount and dismount the floats during the parade.
• In case of emergency, please stop the float and notify the closest parade attendant. Allow the Fire Department/Emergency Medical Services to attend to the issue. Do not proceed until given the OK to do so.
• Do not park or drive on the grass, as it poses a safety concern and damages the grass

Floats are to meet at Sunbeam Bungalows between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Only pre-registered floats will be eligible for the "Best Float Award"

Annual Pie Contest!

Drop pies off at the Callander Community Center no later then by 8:00 a.m. The winner will be decided by 10:00 a.m.
